| Accelerated Reader Online | Accelerated Reader (AR) is a software
tool from Renaissance Learning that lets students take comprehension
quizzes about books they have read. The software is self-paced
and fun, and encourages students to read.
Every student from second grade up has an account that will remain active through their time at Murch. Parents can login and track progress too. Quiz scores are saved so teachers can give credit for books read in and out of class. Books are assign points based on grade level and difficulty. The first time you visit you will be able to install the software by clicking "Check Software Requirements". After that you can login as Student or Parent and take advantage of a huge selection of quizzes available in the AR web version. Parents can see a listing of available titles by logging in with username: "P + student's username" (e.g. student ASMIT and parent PASMIT) and password "Murch1". Teacher may require a hardcopy of each quiz result, so be sure to print a summary. Not finding a book title? |
