Spotlight on Instruction
I would like to encourage you to join us for a Responsive Classroom information session on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 from 6:30-7:30. The session will focus on the following components:
• An introduction to Responsive Classroom
• Take a Break
• Loss of Privilege
• Logical Consequences
• Question/Answer Time
The Responsive Classroom approach fosters a safe learning environment in which students feel empowered in their academics and in sustaining quality social relationships. I hope to see you there!
Educational Aides
Great news…the Kindergarten Aides has been restored system-wide. For Murch this means, we will not have to make any cuts to the number of aides we currently have, we will have the same number of DCPS aides for next year!
After School
Students who remain on school ground s after dismissal must be:
• Enrolled in Extended Day
• Enrolled in an After School Activity
• With a guardian or adult supervisor
Thank you for abiding by this policy.
