The Murch Student Council serves as a voice for students in establishing and advocating on school policies, sponsors fundraising events such as bake sales, Box Tops for Education, and Murch T--shirt sales, produces the annual Lip Sync Show and supports service to the school and the larger community.

Elections
School-wide elections for officers for the following academic year are held in June. Current 3rd and 4th graders are eligible to run for an officer position for Student Council for next year. Officer positions are president (must be a current 4th grader), vice president, treasurer, secretary, and historian.In the fall, each class, 2nd through 5th grade, elects a representative and an alternate to the council.
Meetings
Regular monthly meetings take place on Mondays from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. in BEN 4.
