October is Support-Our-School Month at Murch!

Without the collective voluntary, tax-deductible gifts provided by Murch families, our children would not benefit from the additional staff and services that the HSA has long funded and which help make Murch one of the finest schools in the city.
Please be a part of this critical support for our school.
All donations are voluntary and tax deductible. If your employer has a charitable matching program, please let us know.
This year's goal of $199,500 will fund:
- The salaries of six full-time classroom aides and four recess aides
- Teacher grants
- Special field trips
- Supplies for resource teachers
- Programs such as Peer Mediators and Responsive Classroom

What Teachers Say About SOS
"To keep up with students' reading interests and to expand their opportunities, our library must continually purchase new books. HSA funds helped purchase many books this year, including The Red Pyramid, The Dreamer, 39 Clues, and Olivia Forms a Band."
"Last year, thanks to funds raised through the SOS campaign, we were able to hire a professional trainer to spend two days training our rising, 5th grade Peer Mediators. The opportunity they had to both learn and practice those skills during their two day training was invaluable. This training ensured our Peer Mediators hit the ground running this Fall in their work on the playground. At the start of school, Mediators were able to work with children from all grades, helping them resolve the conflicts that often crop up on the playground but are often difficult for children to resolve on their own. In addition, HSA bought new hats for all Peer Mediators, eliminating the need to recyle hats, year to hear. SOS funding has made such a difference in the Peer Mediation program." -- Vicki Otten & Lauren Miller, Murch Peer Mediation Co-Coordinators
"We would not be able to do all the things we do at Murch without the generous support of the HSA. From teacher stipends to personnel, from individual teacher grants to funding school projects, the financial support from the HSA has been significant in so many different ways. Teachers feel very grateful for this resource."
