Happy Friday Murch Families,
Recently, we have seen a significant increase in covid cases at Murch. Below is the latest information we can share, effective May 6th 2022 and subject to change based on the latest health guidance.
If you are a close contact and fully vaccinated: Fully vaccinated individuals (or individuals who have tested positive for COVID within the last 90 days) do not need to quarantine if they are identified as a close contact, but please continue monitoring/testing regularly. Consider testing on day 5 after exposure. The day of exposure counts as day 0 (zero). Close contacts are also required to wear a mask for 10 days after exposure.
If you are a close contact and are not fully vaccinated: Individuals who are not fully vaccinated who are close contacts are required to quarantine until day 5 after exposure. On day 5, the individual can test. If the test is negative, and the individual has no symptoms for the 24 hours prior, the individual can return to school on day 6. This would be an earliest return day, and we would need the negative test submitted via email or through the testing portal. If the individual returns on day 6, a mask is required until day 10. If you decide not to test, the individual will need to continue quarantining through day 10 and can return on day 11.
If you test positive: The day we are notified or discover that a positive case exists, the individual will need to quarantine/stay at home through at least day 5 (with day 0 being the day of the test or beginning of symptoms).
If the test is positive on day 5, however, the individual will need to continue quarantining through day 10 and can return on day 11.
If you decide not to test, the individual will need to continue quarantining through day 10 and can return on day 11.
