Brief Description | Now in its 28th year, Levine's Music & Arts Day Camp provides kids with a fun and educational musical experience during the summer. Campers ages 3½ to 12 spend their days singing, dancing, playing instruments and developing their creative expression skills. This year's theme is music in our backyard (DC, MD, VA) - From John Philip Sousa and the military bands to the jazz great Duke Ellington, ragtime and early jazz virtuoso Jelly Roll Morton, country legend Jimmie Rodgers and blues legend Bo Diddley, along with Roberta Flack, Patsy Cline, Denyce Graves, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Sweet Honey in the Rock and the children’s duo Cathy & Marcy, to name a few. Music genres include jazz, hip-hop, go-go, country, mountain fiddle, marches, protest songs, and more… |
