Cross-Country Interest Meeting for 4th and 5th Graders
If your 4th or 5th grade student is interested in participating in Cross Country this year, join for an Interest Meeting after school on Thursday, Aug. 27. Coaches Jack Ryan and Emma Fisler will share information about the upcoming season.
Practices:
Practices will be held after school on Mondays and Thursdays from 3:15-4:30. Students will dismiss directly from their classrooms and meet outside the gym. Coaches will bring them to practice in Fort Reno. Please have them wear or bring comfortable clothes and shoes to run in and have a water bottle.
Meets:
There will be two meets and one Championship. These will take place during the school day and transportation for students will be provided. The Coaches will share the dates and more information once they receive it from DCIAA.
To participate, you will need to complete the 2026–27 DCPS Student‑Athlete Participation Packet with an unexpired Universal Health Certificate.

Important details:
- Submit forms as early as possible, ideally before school starts, since the clearance process can take time.
- The packet only needs to be completed once per school year, as long as the Health Certificate is unexpired.
- Once you submit, please forward the Seamless Docs confirmation to Murch.Athletics@k12.dc.gov(opens in new tab). This helps us track who has submitted and helps Murch assist in the process of getting packets cleared
