Back to Work After Baby: How to Plan and Navigate a Mindful Return from Maternity Leave

When Lori Mihalich-Levin, a partner at a global law firm, had her second child, she found the transition back into the workforce unexpectedly difficult. Part of the trouble was that no one talked about the shift from full-time parent to full-time professional as a challenge. Mihalich-Levin turned to mindfulness, and the lessons she learned became the basis for Mindful Return, an online course she founded to help other women negotiate their way between home and work. Her book shows new mothers how to balance the different parts of their lives by using the guiding principles of mindset, logistics, community, and leadership in the space of return, and she offers women practical advice and ways to connect with other new mothers.
