Auction FAQ

Register on our website to bid. Once you have registered, log in here with the email address and password you established. You will then be able to browse and bid on items. Bidding opens on Wednesday, March 17 at noon. On our official auction night, we will hold a virtual event from 7-7:30 PM via zoom. This event is free and all families are invited to attend even if you haven't registered on the auction website.  During the virtual event, we will play a Murch Trivia game via Kahoot. Learn more about Kahoot here. Bidding will end on March 20 at 9 PM.

When the Auction opens, you will see various options for each item:

• Bid: Click "Bid" to place a bid
• Watch: Click "Watch" to add this item to your "My Items" box to see how an item is doing. If you want an item, you will need to place an actual bid.
• Change bid amount or Set maximum bid: Manually enter any amount greater than the "next bid" or set a maximum bid of choice via auto bidding.
• Auto Bid: Select AUTO BID, enter the highest amount you are willing to bid. The system will place minimum bids for you as needed until your designated amount.

As you enter a winning bid or are outbid, you will receive a message alerting you of your status. At the close of the Auction, you will be notified if you are the winning bidder.

Please note all restrictions for auction items. Restrictions and expiration dates on all auction items are final. No changes or exceptions can be made.

Can't find an item? Use the search feature. Click on the microscope and type your item descripton like "frames" for example.

Yes! All information is securely encrypted and bidders will not be charged unless they win an item.

It's true. The company we have used the past few years is no longer in business.  We have switched companies in 2020 to GiveSmart, so bare with us as we navigate any new issues that may arise.  Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.

Anyone who registers with an account can bid on items. That means even if you're not able to attend the virtual trivia, you can still bid on items! Feel free to share the auction site with friends and family who may want to support our school.

One of the best parts of the auction is the many sign-up parties! Unfortunately due to COVID, we do not have sign up parties this year. However, we have a new fun category called Rainbow Connections. Your fellow Murch parents & students have generously donated fun classes, home delivered meals or cocktails, soccer parties & camps and more.  Depending on the item, the price is set and the first people to sign up get to attend  a class or camp. They are all part of the online auction that opens March 17,  so make sure to check it out before they sell out!

You'll need to use a credit card to register and keep on file. Around 9:15 PM you will receive a text alerting you to pay for your items.  If you do not check out at that time, you will be automatically checked out at 10 PM on March 20, 2021. We encourage you to select the option to pay for credit card fees so that Murch can save on on those fees.

Charges from our auction site will show on your card as "Gartner."

Most gift cards will be emailed to winners. Physical items (like baskets, booz, and art) will need to be picked up at 3919 Ingomar Street NW by March 31, 2021. Please email to coordinate pick up.  Review your gift card receipt for more information about redemption.
