Murch’s Black History Month Committee, made up of teachers and staff, have planned many exciting and educational events this month!
Each school day during the month of February, Mr. C and students will share information to the entire student body about African Americans who have contributed to humanity.
Murch will celebrate Read for Black History on Friday, February 21 from 8:30-10:30AM. Guest readers will be invited to each class within our school community. Murch’s librarian, Ms. Burton, has selected books that speak to the empowerment and celebration of African Americans.
On Friday, February 28, Murch’s Resource teachers will lead the Black History Month Strong Start Morning Meeting. Each grade level will share a short presentation about their focus on Black History during the month of February. There will be a special HSA-sponsored performance, too!
