What to wear to the Auction

We’re getting excited to celebrate the spirit of Murch Madness at the Auction this Saturday! Not sure what to wear? We’re here to help. 

First, and most importantly, whatever you wear is fine, as long as you come ready to celebrate Murch!

But if you’re looking for some inspiration, we polled your fellow attendees (aka the Auction committee) and here are a few ways to get into the theme, if that’s your thing:

• Dress as your favorite athlete or coach! From Caitlin Clark to Shaq. From Bill Belichick to Serena Williams, rock your jerseys, tennis whites, or sleeveless sweatshirts.

• Dress to rep your team! Yes, it’s college basketball season, but celebrate the teams that fire you up, whether they’re in the NFL, Champions League, World Cup, MLB, WNBA, or the Toon Squad, if you’ve got their gear – wear it!

• Get creative: Anything sports related, from mascots to equipment is fair game. Am I dressing as a literal basketball hoop? Maybe.

• Murch Spirit: Rock your favorite Murch hoodie. Nothing like getting into a bidding contest for a wine cellar in comfort!

• Class Colors: Grab a sweatband or tube socks (see the table below)! This is an easy way to start a conversation with someone you don’t yet know, but might have kids in the same grade!

• Dress like a fan: What would you wear to a basketball game? That’s a good choice too!

We can’t wait to celebrate Murch with you, no matter what you’re wearing. Don’t forget to invite your friends, browse the auction list, and buy your tequila and whiskey tickets!
