We’re excited to share that Murch Plus, our HSA-sponsored after-school program, is coming back this month!

Open to students in Kindergarten through 5th grade, Murch Plus offers a mix of creativity, learning, and play. Classes will be held on Wednesdays after school until 4:15 PM from mid-October through December. If interest exceeds capacity, spots will be assigned by lottery.

Our team is finalizing class options with Murch’s amazing staff—stay tuned for details on offerings and registration coming soon!

Just a reminder:

• Thursday, October 9 & Friday, October 10 – No school for students due to Parent-Teacher Conferences and Professional Development for Teachers. If you haven’t signed up for your Parent-Teacher Conference – look out for scheduling info from your child’s teacher!

• Monday, October 13 – No school for students, teachers, and staff in observance of Indigenous Peoples’ Day.

Enjoy the extra-long weekend! 

Join us for our second Coffee on the Playground & HSA Community Meeting of the school year on Friday, October 17 from 8:45–9:45 AM on the Big Playground! It’s a perfect chance to grab a cup of coffee, connect with other Murch parents and caregivers, and hear from school leadership.

What to expect: 

• A short discussion led by Mr. C and/or AP Hawkins 
• A brief update from the HSA 
• Time for Q&A and open community input 

Monday, October 27 is School Picture Day! Each student will have an individual photo taken by Freed Photography, which families will be able to purchase later.

Please note: class and group photos will be scheduled for a later date. We’ll share details once those are confirmed.
